the day that was today

I woke up early
sat at the edge of the bed
wondering what kind of a day today would be
though I hoped it would be kind
and that I would finally excercise

there was coffee, finally
and there was laughter
a dash of commitment was added
creatively sometime in the day

lots of ice cream tasting
makes the day memorable
giggling while choosing THE ONE
feeling was intoxicating

figs and red wine
coffee thats filtered
almonds and other nuts
tasted like normalty
though lemon grass lemon
melon something melon
were weird on the tounge
tender coconut with litchi
apricot in apple juice
were the winners of the day
and watermelon
was the surprise of the evening

as I sit on the edge of the bed
thinking of the day thats passed
a smile is forming on my lips
and mind is saying Thank You
Ofcourse tommorow is another day...
